Nyamira County Commissioner Isaiah Nakoru has warned locals against participating in unlawful protests.
Nakoru while speaking in his office on Thursday said the government won't condone individuals with intentions to cause disturbance to others through unlawful protests.
"Residents should find work to do and not taking part in unlawful protests. We have police officers working around the clock to apprehend members of the public idling with a mindset to participate in unnecessary protests," he noted.
The county security boss condemned further Nyamira IDPs who stormed his office demanding to be paid the money the national government promised them.
"I don't pay IDPs who protested to my office demanding to get answers why their money is not reflecting in their bank accounts. I am appealing to IDPs to be patient before they can get their money since no one can dictate the government to pay them," Nakoru added.
He warned that next time the IDPs will storm his office, police will apprehend them.
According to the county security boss, right channels should be followed by everyone while demanding various grievances to be addressed.
