Kenyan boy band Ethic Entertainment has come out to respond after rumours went round that one of their members, Seska is dead.
Through their Twitter handle, the group affirmed that Seska is alive and kicking.
"Seska Is Perfectly FINE. All the rumors are unfounded," wrote Ethic.
Rumours of Seska's death started after a video of the other three members of the group, Reckless, Zilla and SWAT emerged sending out their condolence messages to their friend.
Netizens quickly came out to ask if it was Seska as he was missing on the video, yet they have always done their things together.
They thought the band had lost one of their own, marking the start of the rumour.
However, the group has explained that it was sending the condolence messages to their friend known as Kisirani and not Seska.
“We lost our friend called Kisirani (Tulipoteza Boy Wetu Anaitwa Kisirani) RIP,” explained the 'lamba lolo' hitmakers.
This is not the first time a celebrity has been killed on social media. Media personality Jonhson Mwakazi was in 2017 'killed' on social media.
He, however, quashed the fake news on his purported death.
