Consequently, the senator has since embarked on a plot to unseat the county boss, as he seeks to capture the seat which he helped Nyong'o win in the 2017 polls.

Outa has accused the governor of reneging on their agreements before he took office, with the help of their alliance named 'Team Kali', and is now preparing to fight him off in 2022.

“We are assembling our team and we will get there, too, in a matter of two years,” he told the Sunday Standard.

This comes only a week after Nyong'o fired county executives close to the Senator, in what has been seen as a political retaliation from the governor, against the lawmaker.

But the Senator has reportedly told the fired officials to remain calm and silent on their woes, and join him in plotting the governor's downfall.

The governor says that the Senator has been disloyal to his office, even though they agreed to share power on a  50-50 basis after Outa campaigned for him in 2017.

"The only problem we have is people who are entangling our work into too much politics of dissent, making us lose productive time,” he told the paper.

The governor has also denied victimizing the three; Richard Ongendo (Trade), Thomas Ondijo (Roads) and Alice Moraa (Energy) on political grounds but out if poor service delivery.

The Senator has turned into the leading critic of the governor lately, taking issue with among others, his new Sh19 million official guzzler.
