The Gor Mahia centre forward Ephrem Guikan is apologetic to his fans and Gor Mahia family at large.
This is after he displayed unsportsmanship behaviour after he was substituted for Dennis Oliech during the Kenya Premier League match against Mount Kenya United at Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani on Wednesday.
The Ivorian striker has struggled to get his first position in Gor Mahia squad after the arrival of Dennis Oliech. After being substituted, Guikan did not go to reserved substitute bench as formal rule states, instead, he went directly to the changing room.
The striker posted on his Facebook page apologizing for his behaviour. "I come with this message, excuse me for my behaviour tonight during the match. l admit to having a bad reaction, I apologize to all fans and technical bench," he posted.
This is the second time the 25year-old striker, who was signed from AS port Louis FC, shows his frustrations, having stormed the pitch on realising he was not in the match-day squad when the team faced Posta Rangers.
The club's Turkish tactician was unhappy with Guikan's behaviour and advised him to put in more work in training.
"Guikan needs to work hard and he knows that," said Oktay.
