He is married and now a father of three who has ventured into painting houses to make an extra coin. He has a rental house with each room going for Sh2500 monthly. He says the amount he gets from his rentals is good but the needs are more that's why he had to look for a side hustle.

“I get Sh40,000 per month which is a good amount, but the needs are too much as I have to pay school fees for my two younger sisters and my three children. I got an idea and begun painting works. Though the painting work is good, it comes once in a while.“, said Joseph.

Joseph paints a medium room for Sh5,500 depending on the size of the room. If the room is bigger, he negotiates with the client.

“The job is tiresome as you have to climb up and down the ladder. It also makes you dirty as the paint spills on you while painting. But despite all these, I love and enjoy doing it," said Joseph.
