A Moi University student who was brutally killed about two weeks ago was finally laid to rest in a sombre ceremony in Siaya on Saturday.
Felix Oduor's burial was attended by students from the Kesses-based university.
Donning black shirts emblazoned with Felix's face, the attendees sat through the burial transfixed.
"He was our friend and we came here today to show solidarity with the family. We are praying that God will give them the strength to overcome this. It was a shock to us but we accept the will of God all the same," Korir, a close friend of Felix said.
His burial came amid questions about the investigations into his killing which was occasioned by stabbing.
A number of people were arrested after the killing to help the police in bringing justice to the culprits.
Felix was a fourth-year student at Moi University and was about to finish his studies within a matter of weeks.
In the lead up to the burial, students held night vigils to remember the slain student who was said to be very social.
The body had been lying at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret town.
The university's administration released a statement confirming the death of Felix and sent its condolences to the family.
