Head of Civil Service and Secretary to the Cabinet Erick Onchana has narrated his ordeal with police officers that started on Tuesday.
Police officers picked him from his office on Tuesday and escorted him to Nyamira Police Station where he spent the entire night.
"I thought that the matter would be settled only to spend and entire night there. It isn't an experience you'd wish to encounter more so when you're a law abiding citizen.
"I slept on the floor though they provided me with a mattress. It's such a horrible experience. I am glad that I managed to secure bond," he said.
After securing a bond of Sh200,000 at Kericho Magistrate court, Onchana was rearrested again on grounds that he had not cleared advocate Steve Mogaka's legal fee.
But lawyer Jones Nyachiro managed to argue in his favour before getting out of cells for the second time in as many hours.
Mr Onchana was initially arrested over debts owed by the county to former Kisii Town Mayor Alloys Moseti, who the court ruled that was illegally dismissed from county government.
Despite the county hastily paying Sh1.6 million, Mr Onchana will now have to handle contempt of court charges that were initiated on Wednesday.
