An elected Member of Parliament in Kisii County allied to opposition coalition has received rare support from his strong opponent.
Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka was lauded by former MP hopeful Antony Kibagendi for organizing a successful soccer tournament in the constituency.
Mr. Kibagendi expressed his happiness saying his rival the Ford Kenya elected MP did a commendable job.
"My MP Hon. Richard Momoima Onyonka organized a very successful soccer tournament funded by NG-CDF that has totally kept our youth engaged and entertained for the past two months," said Kibagendi.
The Jubilee politician added; "Through the tournament, a number of emerging stars have been scouted by regional lower league clubs, Sony Sugar, Shabana Fc and even Zoo Kericho. Such tournaments will help our youth earn a living through using their talents."
During the last year's polls, Kibagendi gave Mr. Onyonka a run for his money in the MP race.
Kibagendi's entrant into the Kitutu Chache South MP race was a threat to Onyonka who had to decamp from ODM to Jubilee before he made a u-turn to ODM but, later rushed to seek refuge in Ford Kenya party.
