Kiambu Women Representative Gathoni Wa Muchomba said after the recent killings of young women in the country, girls should be careful with who they date.

Speaking on Sunday at Wangige Primary School, Wa Muchomba said that the unfortunate incidents should serve as a wake-up call to young girls.

While attributing the spate of murders of young women to greed for money and flashy lifestyles, the MP urged young women to be content with what they have and leave the sponsors alone.

Wa Muchomba while quoting the Bible said money is the root of all evils and young women should stick to their faith.

The woman rep further claimed that the mysterious killings of young women in the country were sacrifices done by devil worshipers.

“Let me warn women to be wary of those they associate with in the name of love because they might end up being offered as sacrifices by devil worshippers who do it to get riches,” she said as quoted by Mediamax.

“1Timothy 6:10 says, ‘For the love of money is the root of all evils, which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows',” she said.

The woman rep further asked parents to be actively involved in the lives of their children and help them in making the right choices while they are still young.

“We as parents should know what our children are doing and most importantly the kind of friends they have,” she said.
