Residents of Nyakanda village in Monyerero, Kisii County are mourning the death of two brothers who were killed by thugs on Monday night.
Confirming the incident, area Chief, Evans Nyakundi said the brothers, Abel Mokwanyi and Enock Bosire were in their house when armed thugs raided the house and killed them.
“Armed criminals raided the house where the two lives, ordered them to lie down and surrender all the money. When they failed to produce money, the criminals cut off their necks with pangas before escaping,” he said.
The chief said the deceased persons were all bodaboda riders and their motorbikes were not in the house during the brutal murder.
He said the bodies of the deceased were discovered by their mother, Ann Bosibori who went to check on them at 11 pm after they failed to show up for supper.
“Bosibori discovered her sons’ lifeless bodies and screamed for help. Members of the public arrived and found the two bodies lying in a pool of blood,” he noted.
Nyakundi said the bodies were taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital mortuary.
