One was of a man reportedly found dead by the roadside on Tuesday and the other was spotted floating on River Migori before being pulled out.

The police said that one of the men was found crushed by a grader while he was drunk and sleeping by the roadside in Kuria East constituency.

According to area police commander Joseph Nthenge, the other corpse was of the man pulled from the water.

He said that the relatives of the deceased are also being searched for to identify the body.

The police boss said that the man appears to be in his mid-30s.

"Police and members of the public pulled the body, which was that of a man about 35 years old, from the water," he was quoted by the Standard.

One of the witnesses said it had some serious wounds on the neck.

However, this was in contradiction to the police boss' report that the body had no injuries whatsoever.
