Hundreds of men and women graduated after successful nine months of training and they are now ready to serve the country in different capacities within the Ministry of Defence.

The President who is also the Commander-In-Chief of KDF took the opportunity to congratulate the graduands and urged them to serve the country with professionalism, discipline and diligence.

“I urge you to always conduct yourselves diligently, with discipline, integrity and with professionalism as well as the loyalty prescribed in your oath of allegiance to your country, government, superiors and to your peers,”  he said.

The graduation comes at the time when Kenya is facing terrorism threat from the Al Shabaab militia in Somalia and the whole country is looking up to the KDF to curb the situation.

Kenyatta also applauded the high number of women who sacrificed and joined the KDF since the field has always been dominated by men.

"A mark of inclusion also, is the number of female soldiers among our graduands today, to them too I say, congratulations,” applauded the head of state.
