Orange Democratic Movement party treasurer Timothy Bosire has yet again reiterated that the orange party enjoys fanatic following in Gusii.
For months, Deputy President William Ruto has targeted the region, making over 20 trips within the same period. He last visited in June.
Throughout the period, Dr Ruto has managed to get support from a number of legislators who work under North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko.
But on Saturday Bosire rubbished the trips, insisting that locals are not 'fools' to be bought by the Tanga Tanga brigade which has camped in the region.
"Gusii people are not fools. You can't buy their loyalty. They will always vote guided by their conscious and not pseudo promises you give them," he said.
"They know that ODM stands for equity and they will always support the party. We are not giving up any time soon and that's the reality," he added.
Throughout Gusii land, ODM did not manage to win a constituency seat. However, the party controls both Nyamira and Kisii County Assemblies.
Also, Governors John Nyagarama and James Ongwae along with Senators Okong'o Mogeni and Sam Ongeri were all elected on the ODM party ticket.
Next year, Bosire added, the party will hold grassroot polls in a bid to strengthen it's influence among Kenyan people at the local levels. The polls will be held in February.
