"Warmly received by the host Governor, H.E @HassanAliJoho in Mombasa as we joined like minded women for #EmbraceInTononoka in spreading the message of Unity and Cohesion," Waiguru tweeted.

The women took over Mombasa streets as they headed to Tononoka grounds.

Their pink and white attire catalysed the pomp and colour that has become a trademark of Team Embrace.

The group is traversing the country spreading the handshake message, and their support for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), initiated by President Uhuru Kenyatta, and opposition chief Raila Odinga.

During the Tononoka event, Joho promised to support the women leaders.

After the speech, he welcomed the ladies on stage for a dance to some local hits. Led by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, the women enjoyed the dance session before the first-term governor took over the program.
