Here are three ways to heal from the effects of a toxic relationship.

1. Don’t contact him or her

You should avoid making contact with the toxic partner. You need to give yourself time to forget him/her as well as all the pain he/she may have put you through. Contacting them will only make things worse as you will not forget him/her.

2. Stay busy with positive people that you trust

Keep yourself busy by spending your time with your close friends or family members. That way, you won’t find yourself lost in deep thoughts remembering about all the things that happened to you. Also, make sure that you spend your time with people that you trust as this will enable you to talk about the things that you went through.

3. Be happy

Don’t deny yourself the chance of being happy. Don’t lie to yourself that you were not meant to be happy, you can always be happy if you want to. Live in the moment and learn to appreciate the good things in your life.
