Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Abdirisack Jaldesa now says that all stray dogs in the County will be killed.

This follows an incident where Hivisasa highlighted  a story  where the body of a 70-year-old woman was found mauled by the dogs beyond recognition.

This led to Locals at Block 10 Estate in Eldoret town to demonstrate over the increased number of stray dogs in the area.

Speaking to Hivisasa  in his office on Wednesday Jaldesa urged those in possession of dogs to take care of their dogs or they will be killed by the government.

“We will collaborate with the County government of Uasin Gishu to ensure that all stray dogs are killed, we are only waiting for the drugs that will help us partake the exercise. We will not allow stray dogs to take away innocent life they must be killed,” said the County Commissioner.

He condemned the incident saying such will never happen again under his watch.

“I am giving a one week notice to anyone owning a dog to ensure you don’t allow it to walk anyhow since if found don’t blame us because it will be killed,” added Jaldesa

He also assured Block Ten residents of their security noting that their lives will not be in danger since the cases of stray dogs will be taken care of with immediate effects.

Block Ten residents were up in arms demonstrating over increased stray dogs promising to take laws in their hands by killing them.
