Second-hand items are cheap. However, cheap is always expensive as they might not serve you for long. There are some things that are worth buying second hand while others are not.

Here are home items that should never be bought second hand:

1. Mattresses and pillows

If you are really in need of a mattress or a pillow, always go for a new one. There is no guarantee that second hand mattresses or pillows you want to buy will be clean or in good condition. More so, some of the mattresses and pillows might be infected with bedbugs hence giving you a headache of eradicating them again. 

2. Cloth couches

Well, it’s always a great deal buying second-hand furniture. However, a cloth couch is an exemption. Always go for new ones as there is no guarantee that these couches will be clean. More so, it might also be infected with bedbugs and mice. 

3. Bathroom items

A bathroom is a place in your house that should always be kept as clean as possible. That being said, all the items you need in your bathroom should always be bought new. From towels, bathmats, to a soap dispenser and many others should always be bought new.
