However, this is not the case for Mulanyi Hezron, a student at Kibabii University. For him, things are going from bad to worse as clearance of fee deadline quickly approaches.

Hezron, 22,  has been trying to make ends meet through any possible means to cater for his studies but it has now taken a toll on him.

In an interview with Hivisasa on Wednesday, Herzon who is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce course, (finance option), narrated how hard life has been for him.

"My parents are unable to provide for me. I have always tried my way out using the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) funds. Unfortunately, I couldn't make to clear this semester's fee of Sh12, 050," Herzon narrated.

Herzon who hails from Bikhutu village, Bungoma County said he is expected to clear the balance by Monday, April 29. This will allow him to proceed for industrial attachment.

According to Dr Noel Malanda Nabutola, Dean of Students at Kibabii University, Hezron is a needy student and deserves support from well-wishers.
