ODM rebel and Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa has been hospitalised in Mombasa Hospital, reports the Standard.
Sources say that the MP has been sick since Wednesday when she saw the body of her late brother Jumaa Karisa who fell from a flat in China.
And during her brother's funeral on Thursday, the MP missed the function and was represented by area Women Rep Getrude Mbeyu.
"The death of Jumaa shocked us and Aisha has been up and down since she received the news. She is now sick wherever she is. There is a doctor attending her," Mbeyu told mourners.
She added: "Jumwa is not feeling well and we apologize on behalf of the family for her absence."
On Saturday, the vocal MP was missing in action from a press conference held by Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi.
Last week, Jumwa was among MPs who were reprimanded by ODM party over what Chairman John Mbadi termed as indiscipline.
She had until July 31st to write back to the party on alleged belitting of party leader. If found guilty, she could lose her position in lucrative PSC committee.
