DCJ Philomena Mwilu's worker Cosmas Mutua has been arrested by the police over what the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) says is faking an abduction.

The worker claimed that he was abducted in 2017 by unknown people who demanded that he reveals to the the location of Mwilu's residence.

According to the DCI, Cosmas Mutua's claims were bogus.

This arrest comes in the context of legal proceedings against Mwilu over claims of corruption and abuse of office.

She has strenuously denied involving herself in any corrupt dealings and termed legal proceedings against her as a political witch-hunt because of the role she played in the annulment of 2017 presidential elections.
