Residents of Ngala Estate in Nakuru East sub-county have appealed to the fire brigade in Nakuru and Kenya Power Company to do a check up on their power connections to avert fire incidents which they claim are caused by electric faults.
Speaking on Wednesday after a fire incident where property of unknown value was destroyed, residents said power outages are to blame.
“We want those concerned to come and do checkups on our power line connections since we have been experiencing power faults,” said one of the residents.
According to officers from the fire department in Nakuru, investigations are on to establish what might have contributed to the fire.
“At the moment we cannot establish the cause of the fire not until we don investigations on the same,” said one of the officers.
