Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has mocked Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga after he termed loss in Ugenya and Embakasi South parliamentary seats by-elections as 'no big deal'.
In a press conference on Monday, Raila downplayed the defeat of ODM candidates Chris Karan (Ugenya) and Irshad Sumra (Embakasi South) saying he was not bothered by the results.
“I’m not all bothered that the party lost in the two by-elections because from the onset, they were closely fought and could have gone anyway," he said.
Reacting to the remarks, Miguna said Raila was just trying to put a brave face to make his supporters believe he was not shaken by the unexpected results.
In a tweet, the controversial lawyer asked his former boss to console himself with money he allegedly received from President Uhuru Kenyatta following the March 9 peace deal.
"Console yourself with your dirty buckets of looted resources Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta bribed you with. Everyone knows that deep inside you are feeling like a Nigerian voodoo fraud who has been caught red-handed. Kenyans are alert. Let us march on. Viva," Miguna tweeted.
Raila's loss in the Friday's mini polls has been used by his political opponents to propagate speculations that he has lost his grip in the national politics and others asking him to retire in 2022.
