The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has recorded a win in the West Sakwa Member of County Assembly race.

In the by-election that was held on Monday August 8, ODM's Charlton Andiego carried the day garnering 3, 816 votes.

His only rival, Mr Kendrick Orony garnered 1, 174 on his Citizen Convention Party (CCP).

Reports in the Nation indicate that the election had a low voter turnout.

Mr Adiego successfully inherited the seat left vacant after the death of his father John Andiego in May this year.

The former MCA died while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.
