The stage has been set for the planned teachers strike after talks on Saturday failed to bore any fruits.
The talks held on Saturday were organized by a conciliation team appointed by the government through the ministry of labour.
According to Secretary General Wilson Sossion, the meeting did not bear any fruits because TSC lacks the goodwill to avert the strike.
The nominated MP has maintained that if TSC does not recall the transfer of teachers and enhance promotions, there will be no reconciliation.
The seven-man team is supposed to meet the Teachers Service Commission Monday morning and later hold a joint meeting with both parties.
“We have had a long engagement with the team from the Ministry of Labour. We really don’t have any good news for Kenyans and the children of Kenya. We have made our oral submissions to them,” said Sossion.
He added: “TSC must suspend forthwith the purported transfer and handing over of teachers as a precondition to further dialogue with us.”
