In his findings after a recent audit, Auditor General Edward Ouko found out that the county has fake bills amounting to Sh1.2 billion, which are questionable.

In a tweet Thursday, Aukot predicted that the same might have serious negative consequences on the county boss, adding that he should prepare to leave power soon.

Aukot as well noted that the issue might land the county chief in jail in the coming days.

He added that the county through the county assembly is in full support of his (Aukot) referendum bid, dubbed 'Punguza Mizigo', and will pass it at the right time.

"Tell your good prof that the county Assembly of W. POKOT Will pass #PunguzaMizigoBill2019 because it is pro his people. Tell him to prepare to go home good or jail because of unaccounted millions as documented by Auditor General. This proposal is also in the bill . Mambo bado (things are not yet over)," he tweeted.

The former Presidential aspirant was responding to a twitter user who claimed that the county boss is opposed to the referendum push, and has since advised his people to ignore Aukot.
