Baringo Senator and Kenya African National Union (KANU) national Chairman Gideon Moi on Saturday toured Homabay County.
The Senator toured the Wikondiek Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church in Karachuonyo on Saturday, as he began his 2-day tour of the region, according to the Standard.
He was received by church leaders and local politicians and is set to lead a fundraiser for the church, before heading to to Homabay Town for another funds drive for women trade groups on Sunday.
Gideon is the son to former President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi and has as well announced his plans to run for the seat in the approaching 2022 general polls.
Also, he has his placed his weight behind the proposed constitutional amendment bid as is proposed by opposition leader and area political Kingpin Raila Odinga.
The referendum seeks to among others, reintroduce the Prime Ministerial executive slot which was banned in 2013, and whose holder until then was Raila.
He has joined Raila and his allies in bashing forces opposing the looming referendum, specifically Deputy President William Ruto who is yet to wholly agree to the idea.
Moi is likely to run for the presidency on the KANU ticket.
