Mathare Member of Parliament Antony Oluoch has become the latest leader to make fun of politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto following their latest move.
The politicians, also known as Team Tangatanga, on Tuesday changed their hearts on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), vowing to attend the ongoing regional BBI forums.
Oluoch on Wednesday claimed that the move has been informed by the sudden realization by their group that all their attempts to derail the BBI process were bound to fail.
He said that it has reached a point where none of their propaganda about the push is working anymore, forcing them to join the same side they have been criticizing.
"They have reached the Damascus Moment and have realized that their propaganda is useless and that there are better political players. Now Saul has turned into Paul (Sasa wamefika Damascus Moment, wameona propaganda zao haziwasaidii, wameona kuna watu wanajua kucheza siasa kuwashinda, sasa Saul amekuwa Paul)," he said on Wednesday night.
The lawmaker made the remarks in an interview on Mazungumzo Waziwazi on Radio Jambo.
He accused the team of employing all manner of propaganda and lies in a bid to halt the BBI movement, including claims that it seeks to share political seats among the political elite.
According to the ODM lawmaker, President Uhuru Kenyatta, ODM leader Raila Odinga and their allies deserve to be lauded for pushing the initiative this far, considering the fight that allies of the DP have put up against it.
"The prpgress we have made is big, considering the propaganda the other faction has been using to attack the BBI (Hatua tumepiga kwa BBI ni kubwa na imepigwa na porojo na mrengo ule mwingine ambao unatumia propaganda)," he added.
