One of the three Bishops at Neno Evangelism Centre has quit the church after a tongue-lashing from their leader Pastor James Maina Ng’ang'a.
In a video that has gone viral, the controversial pastor Ng’ang’a is heard punching the bishops with harsh words after they reportedly refused to respect his wife.
According to the Standard, Coast region Bishop Robert Wafula said he cannot continue working with the Neno leader after the rant at the pulpit.
“If he had issues with us, he should have called us for a meeting. But declaring in public that he will kick us out means he no longer wants to work with us. I would rather leave than wait for him to do what he threatened,” Bishop Wafula said.
The Bishop said they haven’t disrespected Ng’ang’a’s wife in anyway and were shocked to hear the hard-hitting rant.
In the rant, which is heavily laced with mother tongue, the pastor said the bishops must kneel before him or he closes down the kiosks (Neno branches) and kick them out.
According to sources at the Kenya, Ng’ang’a went berserk after he learnt that there had been prayers and fasting in which he was not notified.
“We knew our apostle was in a lot of trouble. We were praying for the devil to let go of him so that he could focus on preaching and be the man of God everyone once respected,” a church member told the Standard.
