The class six pupil was also suffering from acute pneumonia and asthma.

This is according to the pathologist who conducted the postmortem Peter Ndegwa at Kibwezi Funeral Home.

Ndegwa said the deceased had a bruise on his thigh where he was kicked by the teacher, but it was not the cause of his death.

"The boy had asthma-like lungs, acute pneumonia and intracerebral hemorrhage in the cerebrum. So, these three conditions were quite significant since they affected vital organs and each one of them is quite capable of causing death," Ndegwa said.

"However, the boy died from intracerebral bleeding," he added.

The boy's parents accepted the autopsy results but said their child has never been taken to a hospital to be treated for such conditions.

"The doctors have established the cause of my son's death, they have said he was kicked but not the cause of his death. Actually, my son has never been admitted to the hospital for the conditions outlined by the pathologist. So, they came as a surprise to us," said a Mr. Musyoki, the boy's father.

Musyoki said the boy was very active, he was a football player.

On February 28, the deceased was rushed to Kibwezi Amref Hospital after he was allegedly kicked by a teacher in class.

The boy passed on a few minutes after he was admitted to the facility.

Irate residents later thronged the hospital calling for the teacher's arrest.

The teacher was arrested and detained for fourteen days to allow police officers to complete investigations into the matter.

The big question remains; will the autopsy result help the teacher in his case?
