Ruto and his team have been lately firing unending attacks at the former Prime Minister, accusing him of using his truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta to plot the DP's downfall.

But speaking on Radio Citizen Thursday morning, Kabogo took issue with Ruto's claims that Raila is trying to break the ruling Jubilee Party, noting that he is an outsider.

He termed Ruto's remarks as baseless, saying that the allegations are only likely to further strengthen the African Union Infrastructure envoy ahead of the 2022 elections.

"Raila is not part of Jubilee Party which rules him out among people who can try to break the party. Implicating him in the alleged plan is only making him appear stronger," he said.

He as well advised the DP to not overlook Raila whom he is likely to face in the approaching 2022 presidential race, a contest Raila, however, remains silent on.

Kabogo noted that Raila is equally a strong leader and might shock Ruto who considers himself closer to the throne, being the Second In Command currently.

"Raila is powerful, let Ruto not assume him. A man who can mobilize one million to Uhuru Park is not just anyone. He has a strong following," he cautioned.

Both leaders have called upon Kenyans and the political class to shun the 2022 debate and concentrate on bettering the nation.
