For the second year in a row, Mombasa County's Department of Trade Tourism and Investment was on December 14, awarded as the most improved county department by the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) during the Mombasa Business Awards Gala Dinner held at Wild Waters.

"We heartily would like to thank all those who voted for us. We humbly appreciate KNCCI for the award," CeC Fawz Rashid said while giving his speech.

While commenting on the awards, Governor Ali Hassan Joho also congratulated the Mombasa Sub-county Administration for emerging victorious in the best use of Social Media category.

"These awards demonstrate our desire and dedication in enhancing efficiency in service delivery as well as intensifying stakeholder engagement and public participation in decision making processes as enshrined in the Constitution and the County Government Act," he said.

Fawz Rashid and Sub-county coordinator Idris Mohamed received the awards on behalf of the respective departments.
