A 23-year-old man found h was forced to drink his own urine after he was busted with a neighbor's daughter.
Mr Edwin Orenge, was on Monday caught red-handed locking the girl in his house.
The incident happened at Riondong’a village in Keumbu Nyaribari Chache, Kisii County.
“My daughter has been missing since Saturday and efforts to look for her didn’t bear fruits. I decided to look for her house to house. I was shocked to find her locked by Mr Orenge who was also helping us to conduct the search,” said the girl’s father William Mondatege.
Motandage said Orenge tried to run away but members of the public arrested him and forced him to urinate into a cup and drink his own urine in presence of villagers.
“Villagers intervened and helped me punish the suspect instead we could have surrendered him to police. I never wanted more trouble pursuing cases in court yet my daughter is sitting for her KCSE exams this year. Villagers forced the man to urinate and drink his own urine while we watched,” he added.
Joakim Omambia, area assistant chief confirmed the incident and condemned the villagers saying they should have surrendered the suspect to the police.
Omambia said any man found with a school girl must be taken to court.
“I don’t agree with villagers who decided to solve the matter locally. I am still pursuing the man who has gone into hiding so that he can tell us why he decided to lock a schoolgirl in his house,” he said.
