Even as investigations into the murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno gain momentum, controversial lawyer-cum-politician Miguna Miguna is now linking top Migori politician into the murder.
Migori Governor Okoth Obado has been adversely mentioned alongside his Personal Assistant (PA) Michael Juma Oyamo. The duo has since recorded statements with the detectives with the latter detained for 14 more days as investigations continue.
However, even before the investigations are complete, Miguna Miguna has now turned the heat on ODM Party and its senatorial candidate in the upcoming by-election Ochilo Ayacko.
According to Miguna, the motive of Ms. Otieno's murder was political and that the Raila Odinga-led Party stands to gain a lot from it.
"My theory on Sharon Otieno's murder: Ochilo Ayacko and the @TheODMparty had a motive, opportunity and have gained the most out of her murder. They are DIRECTLY utilizing the death for political capital. Oduor and Oyamo are decoys," the former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate alleged in a controversial tweet.

When he addressed the press on Wednesday, Obado distanced himself from the student's murder saying that he is innocent.
