A JKUAT student who went missing for three days has been found dead outside a hostel.
Initial reports indicate that the student was murdered. The student identified as Tabitha was discovered on Tuesday outside a hostel inside the school.
A statement by the Jomo Kenyatta Students’ Association (JKUSA) President Ibrahim Boru Shalle, indicated that the late was last seen alive on Saturday when she went out with friends.
They allegedly went to a popular club along Thika Road.
They then boarded a bus back to Juja early morning on Saturday, but upon reaching their destination, Tabitha had to be forced off the bus as she initially refused to alight.
“Tabitha went for a bash on Friday and on her way back, it is said that she refused to alight from Kenyan Mpya bus and her friends left her there. That is the furthest investigations have gone,” the statement read in part.
“When they arrived in Juja, Kitaa refused to alight from the bus and her friends had to force her off. However, as soon as they got out of the matatu – having let her go – and were crossing the road, they looked back and noticed her going after the matatu and back inside.”
The matter was reported at the Juja Police station where friends who accompanied her recorded statements as investigations continue.
Juja OCS Ateya Gisemba declined to comment on the matter. He said more details will be availed after investigations had been concluded.
