Speaking at Riogongera village in Kisii County, the DP said politicians should shun divisive politics.

"We were elected to serve the electorates and not divide them along political lines. It is time politicians should preach peace wherever they go in this country for the sake of ensuring our people are living in peace, unity and harmony," said Ruto.

The second in command said anyone who will be caught inciting communities to fight will be arrested and prosecuted.

"As a country we have come from far. Community fights will not be tolerated. Anyone who will have a hidden agenda to incite people to fight will face the law," he added.

Ruto urged youths to be at the forefront of fighting impunity in the country.

The DP stated that the Jubilee government will engage youths across the country to ensure they are empowered and don't engage in criminal activities.

He asked parents to be good role models to their children and ensure they are enrolled in school, as the government was now offering free primary and secondary education.
