Wrangles within Jubilee Party could yet again take another twist after Deputy President William Ruto revisited President Uhuru Kenyatta's arrangement with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Over the weekend, Ruto warned over the president's partnership with Mr Odinga, insisting that his history is destructive and not healthy for the Jubilee administration.

"These people telling us a lot of stories think that we do know them. They see destructive. If they don't destroy parties, they destroy houses. If not houses, they go for railway. And if not railways, they destroy friendship. These are people who we know. For what purpose are we entertaining them for?" Ruto argued.

The relationship between Mr Kenyatta and Odinga has blossomed in the recent weeks, with Raila confirming on Saturday in Kisumu that he will be in the presidential delegation to China this week. The two are set to negotiate for the loan meant for SGR third phase.

Last week, Uhuru defended his partnership with Mr Odinga, arguing that the former Prime Minister had no business discussing party politics. Uhuru also said Mr Odinga has never informed him if he's interested in taking over as president in 2022.

“Oooh, Raila anavunja (breaking up) Jubilee; which Jubilee have we talked about? Oooh, Uhuru anaingilia mambo ya ODM (Uhuru is interfering in ODM matters); I have no clue even who ODM is,” said President Kenyatta.

“We sit; we discuss; we agree. He (Mr Odinga) also gives me ideas that enhance something and make it even better. What is wrong with that?”

Dr Ruto has been uncomfortable with the arrangement. In an interview with Citizen TV recently, Ruto maintained that Mr Odinga was keen to have him part ways with Kenyatta days after Jubilee administration took over for the second term.
