Two MPs almost got into a physical fight in parliament on Thursday after differences over President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Finance Bill.
A reporter attached to parliament told this writer the two engaged in an ugly verbal exchange that almost degenerated into a fight.
The source said Gladys Wanga, Homa Bay, and Moses Lessonet, Eldama Ravine differed over Uhuru’s bill.“Wanga is said to have been infuriated after Lessonet said the bill will pass.
She accused him of being remote-controlled by certain quarters hence unable to make independent decisions,” the source said.
It is this exchange that saw the two almost fighting.
Jubilee MPs were on Tuesday summoned to State House by President Uhuru Kenyatta and whipped to support his recommendations in the Finance Bill which includes an 8% VAT on fuel.
NASA-allied MPs were also urged by their leaders Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka to support the changes.
