Results for this year Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) could be released tomorrow, Monday November 19, President Uhuru Kenyatta has hinted.
The Head of State speaking during the unveiling of the Gachororo PCEA Church in Juja on Sunday made the revelation through a slight slip of the tongue.
Upon realizing the mistake, Uhuru drew back, reports the Citizen Digital.
"And when we will announce the results tomorrow," he reportedly said before pulling back with a “ah, now what have I said?" reports the paper.
He urged pupils who sat their final exams this year to remain comfortable with their grades, adding that each of them will find a slot in secondary school.
"When we will announce the results, I want to tell our children that because we know you did your best, do not be afraid just because you attained a particular grade because, like I said, the most important thing is that everyone who sat the Standard 8 exam will be admitted to Form One,” he is quoted.
He added that the government shall continue to sponsor students, including their fees and learning materials.
Uhuru challenged parents to play their role by providing them with school fees and ensuring that they are fed and remain in school for better results.
He further lauded the team all stakeholders that took part in this year's example for their professionalism and role in making the exercise successful.
