This comes only a day after detectives from the Ethics and Anti Corruption (EACC) raided three houses belonging to the former The National Alliance (TNA) Secretary General.

Oloo is being investigated over allegations of participating in misappropriation of funds for the construction of the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) mall in Mamboleo, Kisumu.

According to Weda, the raid could be an attempt by some persons in Jubilee party to get back at Oloo, who decamped in 2017.

"When he left Jubilee, he left in a huff and with many words and this could be payback time for him. These claims could be having some political instigation," he said on KBC English Service's The Big Conversation on Wednesday.

He added that being Oloo's lawyer, he will take up the matter once it gets to the courts.

"Oloo is a good friend of mine and a client, and continues to be so. If prosecuted, I will present him in court and it will be fireworks," Weda said.
