A warrant of arrest has been issued against Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o and his sister Risper Nyagoy .
The kin is set to be arrested for contempt of court.
While issuing the directive, High Court Justice Tripsisa Cherere on Thursday okayed the arrest of the first term county boss, who is also Former Kisumu Senator, after he failed to appear in court to respond in a property row with the relatives.
The judge has since directed Kisumu County Commander Benson Maweu execute the arrests. The two risk being jailed for a month if they are found guilty of the charges leveled against them.
The duo had been issued with court orders in a property row with their neighbors but they refused to heed to the same.
The governor, who rejected a fuel guzzler given to him by the county officials, and the sister had been ordered to submit books of account of their father's Hesbone Shimei Nyong’o.
The move came after the nephews took them to court for excluding their names in the inheritance list of the deceased.
The county boss and sister were fined Sh400, 000 each for contempt of court on May 30, 2019.
The details of the arrest warrant remain scanty.
