The county boss is facing murder allegations, after he was implicated in the murder of Rongo University student and his alleged lover Sharon Otieno early September last year.

In his release terms, the judge directed that the county boss will not cross over to the neighbouring Homa Bay county, Sharon's home county, pending the determination of his case.

He is now seeking the reversal of the condition, saying that his job entails crisscrossing the county, yet most of Migori's 8 sub-counties border Homa Bay, thus hindering his job.

“As such, it is impracticable for the accused to effectively discharge the constitutional mandate as the Governor of Migori County,” reads the application, according to the Citizen Digital.

Obado also wants the court to release his travelling documents to enable him to fly out on official duties, saying that the confiscation of his passport has since denied him an official trip to Israel.

He was arrested and charged alongside his aides Caspal Obiero and Michael Oyamo.

The court will determine the application on Tuesday, April 9.
