A former Member of Parliament in Kisii County has claimed that Kenyans made a wrong choice electing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto during the last year's polls.
According to ex-Bonchari MP Protus Momanyi, Uhuru-Ruto will not transform the lives of Kenyans due to hiked fuel prices.
"President Uhuru and his Deputy Ruto are a total disgrace to Kenyans. I completely don't support the decision by Uhuru to reject the Finance Bill which could remove a burden from poor citizens from buying fuel at high prices," he said.
Momanyi said Kenyans would continue suffering until 2022 because of the ignorance they portrayed by rejecting NASA leader Raila Odinga to become President.
He condemned the Finance Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich for rushing the implementation of 16 per cent VAT on petroleum products even after the MPs postponed it.
"People like Rotich should be sent home for failing to prioritise Kenyans interests. The Finance Department should advise Uhuru to stop borrowing much from foreign countries which in return will be a burden to Kenyans when paying the loans," he noted.
