This happened on Monday evening at Kianyabao village in West Mugirango constituency, Nyamira County.

Andrew Karori said his goat trespassed to his neighbor, Philip Morumbwa's vegetable farm when it was killed.

"I tied my goat at the fence to graze when it trespassed into Morumbwa's vegetable farm. He hit my goat on the head and killed it instantly," said Karori.

He lamented that Morumbwa has been jealous of him since time immemorial.

"All I want is Morumbwa to buy me a goat. He could have sent it away and not killing it," he said.

Area chief, Fred Mbaye confirmed the incident and said the suspect has agreed to buy a goat for Karori.

"Residents should learn to live in peace and when livestock trespasses to farms, they should be driven away and not being killed," he said.

Mr. Mbaye said jealous is an enemy to growth and members of the public must be good keepers to one another.
