Speaking during the Jeff Koinange Live programme, Miguna said that the veteran opposition leader pinched a policeman who tried to block them as they were walking.

"Raila grabbed my hand and started walking and then a policeman tried to block us. Raila pinched him in the ear and he ran off, " Miguna said.

Miguna was deported from Kenya in 2018 after playing a role in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader's mock inauguration at Uhuru Park.

Raila made his way to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in a bid to secure the controversial lawyer's release but failed to do so.

A scuffle between the former prime minister ensured as the Toronto-based lawyer was forcefully grabbed from him.

Miguna was bundled into an Emirates flight bound for Dubai after a bitter stand-off with immigration authorities.

Raila and Miguna have since fallen out, with the lawyer accusing Mr Odinga of "joining the ranks of the oppressors" and being behind his deportation.

He strongly maintains that he was illegally deported from the country by immigration officials.
