Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has called on the immediate arrest of the 'Sameer Africa Chair' for trying to influence state tenders.
The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator stated that if an individual pays another for favours in state tenders, that person should be arrested immediately and the arrested suspects are made a state witnesses
"If your name is Tom and you pay KShs 10M as “logistical support” to Dick in the mistaken believe that he is Harry an influential government official whom you expect to extend “favours” to you by influencing state tenders, then you should be arrested and Dick should be made state witness," he tweeted.
This follows an outrage from Kenyans demanding the arrest and prosecution of a Mr.Merali, the Sameer Africa Chair who was conned by fraudsters posing as President Uhuru in order to receive government contracts from the backdoor.
Mr.Merali is alleged to have been defrauded by the seven individuals who mimicked President Uhuru Kenyatta's voice to get Sh10 million that would help him secure business deals.
The seven people were arrested and arraigned in court on Monday.
