Detectives could arrest a Supreme Court judge over a series of graft scandals, abuse of office and violation of Chapter Six of the supreme law, reports the Nation.
The arrest of such high ranking officer, is a culmination of series of investigations in the third arm of government, which has been linked with graft over years.
Investigations by the Nation reveals that the judge has been reported to Kenya Revenue Authority and DPP over suspicious large amounts of money in and out of bank accounts.
Failure to pay taxes and collapsing of the Imperial Bank informed investigations against the judge, who could be the latest senior government official to face graft charges.
Central Bank of Kenya had put Imperial bank under receivership after collapsing in 2017 with KDIC appointed as receivers with investigators previously focusing on directors alone.
The Supreme Court judge faces numerous counts of stealing, abuse of office and unlawful failure to pay taxes.
Also, investigators claim that the judge under question could face integrity charges for violation of Chapter Six after reportedly taking a loan of Sh12 million from the IB.
