In an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday, Wanga said that BBI is a good thing for Kenya. She said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga meant well for the population of this nation when they adopted the BBI idea.

“The reason I support the BBI is because the nine-point agenda are problems in this country that need a solution. Those saying they were not invited to BBI meetings are looking for ways of undercutting the BBI process,” she said.

She also said that corruption is among the key issues that the report addresses. The lawmaker assured Kenyans that the report will help reduce cases of graft if adopted.

“One of the key issues to be addressed in the BBI report is corruption. We now have an environment where the President can fight corruption and if we fight corruption, we can create employment,” she said.

She also called upon the county governments to prioritise issues that will empower the people. She further said that it is not right for leaders to disrespect President Uhuru Kenyatta as he seeks to leave behind a legacy when he completes his tenure in office.
