Peter Karanja, the arrested suspect is the former husband of Gilgil Member of Parliament Martha Wangari.

"Police have arrested Peter Karanja, former husband of Gilgil MP Martha Wangari over links to the cold blood murder of Dutch tycoon, Tob Cohen."

This arrest comes hot on the heels of the grim discovery of Cohen's body in an underground storage in the early stages of decomposition.

His body was taken to the University of Nairobi-run Chiromo Mortuary.

Sarah Wairimu, who is the wife of the late entrepreneur, is a prime suspect in the murder case.

She has protested her innocence as investigators piece together evidence to pin her down.

Media reports indicate that Karanja was having an affair with Cohen's wife.

Directorate of Investigations (DCI) officers says that they have enough evidence to convict Wairimu.

It was not immediately clear what the involvement of the former husband of Gilgil MP was in Cohen's death.

The case has gripped the Kenyan public as even grimmer revelations and details emerge as investigations continue apace.

At the time of his disappearance, Cohen had filed for divorce in a court of law.
