In a tweet on Friday, Miguna said that he is a Kenyan citizen and he deserves to be treated like any other Kenyan.

He reminded President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government that the country belongs to all Kenyans, adding that the leadership must rethink about his return to the country. He also asked the government to obey court orders.

“Kenya belongs to all of us. No one is above the law. An injustice to one is injustice to all. Court Orders must be obeyed and complied with by all. A Kenyan citizen does not need a visa or permission to enter Kenya, "he tweeted.

The court had ordered the government to facilitate the return of the lawyer into the country after he was deported for taking part in Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga’s mock swearing-in.

On its part, the government has maintained that the lawyer will only be allowed back into the country if he presents the immigration officers with his official travel documents including the passports. Government Spokesperson Cyrus Oguna also said that Miguna is unruly passenger and his return can be chaotic like it was when he was being deported."

Further his unruly behaviour was seen to have the potential of threatening category A1 of JKIA which took the country a lot of effort and work to achieve. This category certifies that we have put in place all the necessary safety and security measures in all our airports. This is an accomplishment that we committed to jealously protect," Oguna said.
