Harambee stars tactician Francis Kimanzi claims he is not aware why he was slapped with a two-match ban from the council of East and Central Africa Football Association CECAFA.
The former Mathare United coach was banned on Sunday from touchline due to what is said to be gross misconduct and display of bad sportsmanship behaviour.
Francis Kimanzi though says he only learned about his ban from the social media and he never received any official communication from CECAFA officials.
“I’ve also read it in from some section of media because I haven’t received any letter and I don’t know what I’ve done to be suspended…maybe to win?” he said
"There is a team manager, I am on the technical part, I did what I’m supposed to do that is warming up the team and manage a game that I managed and won,” added Kimanzi .
According to the CECAFA steering committee, Kimanzi refused to attend alive interview and also incited his players to forfeit their match against Tanzania.
The CECAFA Secretary General Nicholas Musonye also said that Harambee stars coach kept on harassing Mr Mohammed Gedi, the match fourth official.
